There is NOT a farmers' market anywhere between the Atlantic and Pacific whose stands don't runneth over with cucumbers right now. Picklers, slicers, Persians, English. With all that bounty cheap and available, why would anyone buy an imported supermarket cucumber at this harvest moment?
Another reason to frequent your farmers' market because your life depends on it.
